The 48th Annual Peoria Art Guild Fine Art Fair

It’s like having an art gallery in your own backyard. This is not just an art event, but Peoria’s largest community event on the Riverfront, with an anticipated 40,000 visitors. You can spend the day or the entire weekend at this two-day celebration of the visual arts. The Peoria Art Guild offers exceptional works of art from nationally-recognized artists, memorable music, palate pleasing food and drinks, and hands-on activities for the kids and adults.

Admission is $5
Kids 16 years and under are free.

ARTISTS

Spend the day of the entire weekend at the Peoria Riverfront. 150 artists from across the United States and Canada will exhibit and sell works of art in jewelry, painting, photography, ceramics, wood, glass, mixed media, metal and fiber. All artwork is original and has been created by the exhibiting artist. Through an extensive rating process, 120 artists were invited to exhibit at the Fair along with 30 artists who were invited to attend as past award winners.

KIDS ART FESTIVAL
The Kids Art Festival (KAF) has grown to become its own destination event within the Fine Art Fair, offering great “make and take” art projects for kids of all ages. Mentor Apprentice Program (MAP) students will be face-painters during the Fair. All proceeds benefit art education programs at the Guild.

COMMUNITY MURAL
Join the Peoria Art Guild as we create murals featuring the 2010 poster image. Last year, hundreds of people contributed to the community mural. Lend a hand to this interactive art event to help create an 8 foot by 8 foot interpretation of the poster art.

FOOD AND WINE
Local vendors are carefully selected to serve food and beverage at the Fair. A variety of top quality wine and beer will also be available.

MEMBER BENEFIT

Peoria Art Guild members will be allowed to enter the Fine Art Fair to purchase art one hour
prior to the 'official' opening on Saturday (only) from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. V.I.P passes to this "members only" event are given to existing Art Guild members prior to the Art Fair.

Members also receive complimentary admission to the Fine Art Fair on the day of their choice.

Sign-up for memberships will be available at the gate on Saturday morning for non-members, or you can call the Art Guild in advance at 309-637-2787.

PREVIEW PARTY
To kick off the Fine Art Fair, the Art Guild will host a Preview Party on Friday, September 24,
7:00 to 10:00 p.m. at the Peoria Art Guild. This wine and hors d’oeuvres event showcases premiere works from many of the Fine Art Fair artists. Selected works of art are available for purchase during the event. The auction also features art from the Guild’s Mentor Apprentice Program (MAP) students who work under the guidance of art professionals during an 8-week intensive summer outreach program at the Guild. Proceeds from the auction and Preview Party purchases will benefit MAP. Tickets may be purchased by calling the Guild, 637-2787.

and artists through the exhibition and sale of contemporary artwork, to provide education and to promote appreciation of the visual arts.
