This award-winning show in it's 12th year has developed a reputation for high quality art in a historically significant setting in the St. Charles downtown district. Presented by the Downtown St. Charles Partnership, Inc., a Main Street revitalization organization, the show is organized and managed by a dedicated group of volunteers.
The show is judged by 3 professional judges and cash awards in several categories of $3500 are awarded on Saturday afternoon.
A Purchase Award program in it's 5th year brought art purchases from patrons of over $35,000 in 2009. A Friday evening Preview party is held for Purchase Award patrons.
A "hands-on" mosaic project debuted in 2009, and will continue in 2010, and is completed by students of local schools on the site during the two days of the show.

The Downtown St. Charles district offers many fine shops and restaurants, many historically significant buildings, including the Hotel Baker and the Arcada Theater.
Sculpture in the Park, a sculpture walk is held from May through October in Mt. St. Mary Park, on the west banks of the Fox River and just a few blocks from the St. Charles Fine Art Show site.
