Wright In Kankakee Fine Art Show & Sale

About The Show
• Artists must apply for admission and be accepted by the Show's jury.
• All media are eligible for acceptance.
• Artists have the option to submit work for judging in three categories:
• General (any subject, style, inspiration)
• Birds (Joseph H. Dodson, a president of the National Audubon Society, was the longest-term resident of the Bradley House: 34 years. In celebration of the 100th anniversary of his moving in, this year's Art Show will present awards to the best works with a bird theme.)
• Frank Lloyd Wright (any facet of his work)
• Winners of the judging will be announced, and awarded cash prizes, at the opening reception on Friday evening, July 17.

Prizes
• Best In Show: $300
• People's Choice: $100
In each of the three categories
• First Place: $100
• Second Place: $75
• Honorable Mention: ribbon

Details
• All work entered must be original: no patterns or kits may be used.
• No works which have been awarded prizes in previous shows are eligible for submission for judging in this year's Show.
• Registration fees include submission for judging of three works (one in each category). Artists are free to submit as many more works as they choose, at a fee of $15 per submission.
• Artists planning to enter the Wright category may visit the Bradley House before the show for inspiration.
• At the discretion of Wright In Kankakee, works inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright, particularly those representing the Bradley House, may be invited to be displayed in the Bradley House after the Show, offered for sale in the Bradley House Gift Shop, and/or reproduced for national sale.
• Complete rules and details will be furnished to those accepted.

46th Annual Glen Ellyn Festival of the Arts

EXHIBITING ARTIST GUIDELINES & ACCEPTED MEDIUMS

Participation is open to all fine art. All work represented must be of an original concept executed and designed by the artist in attendance. The Glen Ellyn Festival of the Arts reserves the right to remove any and all works deemed not suitable at the time of the festival. It also reserves the right to select or invite other applicants in order to ensure a balance of medium. The Festival of the Arts reserves the right to refuse any application at their discretion and refund the artist booth fee. Any Artist not conforming to the Show Rules will be removed; no fees will be refunded after July 17th.

The following mediums are to be included in each show: ceramics, drawing, fiber non-functional, fiber wearable, paper non-functional, furniture, glass, jewelry, acrylic, oil, watercolor, pastel, sculpture, wood, mixed media, collage, photography, and printmaking. Prints in limited editions are allowed; no more than 300 in a series, provided at least 33% of an Artist’s exhibited work is original.

Individual consideration of any media not listed will be given upon request. No work which has been made with commercial kits, molds, patterns, plans, prefabricated pieces, or assembly line technique will be allowed.

Artists are responsible for their own tents, display tables and related materials.
