The Crafters' Market Place and Flea Market is part of Mendota's 69th Annual Sweet Corn Festival, one of the largest harvest festivals in the Midwest, attracting 55,000 in its 3.5 day run.
The Sweet Corn Festival is a family event with free entertainment that appeals to all ages, a carnival, parade and the serving of free, hot buttered Del Monte Sweet Corn on Sunday afternoon.
Handmade crafts in all media are accepted. Items that are not handmade by the crafter would be considered flea market. Antiques are also welcome.
In addition to the craft and flea market booths there are street booths for food, merchandise and commercial vendors. The craft show & flea market are Saturday and Sunday only. Handmade crafts, in all media are accepted.Those items that are not handmade are considered flea market. No electricity is available in the craft and flea market areas.The Street Booths do have electricity and water available.
We will not accept vendors selling knives or other weapons or t-shirts with offensive sayings on them.
