The Illinois Wine & Art Festival has been a favorite for art, wine, and music enthusiasts for 16 years. The festival is held near beautiful Rend Lake in southern Illinois on the grounds adjacent to the (now closed) Southern Illinois Art and Artisan Center. This showcase weekend draws thousands of people to sample wines from many local and regional vineyards and to shop the artisan vendors displaying and demonstrating their fine crafts. This outdoor festival has a variety of live music performed on stage each day and there are local food vendors to satisfy every craving. Festival attendees are encouraged to bring their own pop up shade tent and lawn chairs, and to spend the gorgeous fall days enjoying the music, art, and food.
This is a juried art festival. All items must be handmade. No commercial or retail sale of manufactured items is allowed.
$20 Application and Jury Fee (waived if 2015 vendor); 10x10 booth is $80; 10x20 booth is $160; Electricity Add $15.
The festival grounds are flat and grassy. All activities are outdoors. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and/or pop up shade tents. There will be large tents with tables and chairs but these can fill up quickly.
There is open alcohol at the event - wines are available to sample, purchase by the glass (to be consumed on the festival grounds), or by the bottle.
For those who need assistance, golf cart transportation can be provided from the parking area to the festival grounds.
